Maid of Honor Toast Examples

Hi it’s Natalie….

Looking for some maid of honor toast examples?  Here’s a copy of a great wedding toast/speech that you can use as a guide when you’re thinking of what to say…

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I’m delighted to be here today.  I really don’t want to say too much today, however, I do have two important things to discuss. <Bride’s name> has been a wonderful friend to me in so many different ways.

<Bride’s name> and I  have had so much fun together over the years.  She’s always been there for me when things were good and when times were really rough.  We have come to know each other really well and our understanding goes beyond words.

We don’t judge each other nor do we need to explain things in detail to each other.  So <Bride’s name> didn’t really have to say much to tell me that <Groom’s name> was the one.  All signs were there like how she glows when he is around.

All in all, <Bride’s name> and <Groom’s name> I can see that you both will make a success of everything that you do together.  There is of course one excpetion.  <Groom’s name>  I’m not sure how much progress you’re going to make to get <Bride’s name> to start making dinner!  And I don’t know how you’re going to keep her from shopping on the weekends!  Look out bank account!  Not that it matters – but what does matter is that these two people have found each other and are very comfortable with each other.

This tells me that they have a great foundation for a beautiful marriage.  There’s an old poem that says ‘coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success’.  <Bride’s name> and <Groom’s name> that indeed is you.  You truly deserve each other and I know that you will both live a long and happy life together.

So ladies and gentlemen, I would like to offer a toast to my wonderful friend, <Bride’s name> and her fantastic husband <Groom’s name>, may they have true love.  Thank you.

Here are some short and sweet wedding toasts that you may use during the course of the ceremony:

  1. Wedding Reception: <Bride> and <Groom> always remember this special day.  Remember how you feel right now.  Let that feeling guide you through a long and happy life
  2. Wedding Reception: Love is a feeling that’s hard to describe.  But if I were ever asked, ‘what does live look like’ I would should a picture of you two on this day.  I would like to propose a toast to the wonder of it all.
  3. Wedding Reception: Here’s to the groom with the bride so fair, and here’s to the bride with a groom so rare!
  4. Wedding Reception (Joking): Congratulations on the termination of your isolation and may I express an appreciation of your determination to end the desperation and frustration which has caused you so much consternation in giving you the inspiration to make a combination to bring an accumulation to the population.
  5. Wedding Reception (Joking): As <Bride> becomes the old ball and chain and rental boy becomes her old man, we mourn the loss of their single lives and wish them luck as they take the plunge.  Here’s to you both.
  6. Wedding Reception: Here’s to the husband, here’s to the wife, may they remain lovers for life.
